Ron Pepper, Habitat for Humanity’s Executive Director, recently received a donation of $3,000 from the Royal Bank’s RBC Foundation as part of the 2012 RBC “Day of Service.” Royal Bank employees of both the Sechelt and Gibsons branches donated a day of service to Habitat’s Sunshine Coast Village, a project which is building affordable houses for 14 hard working families on the Sunshine Coast. Each RBC branch donated $1,000 and together they applied for a further $1,000 by writing a story about their experiences in their day of service at Habitat’s Wilson Creek site. Habitat Sunshine Coast is extremely grateful for the generosity and efforts of all the RBC employees for their donation of time, as well as to the RBC Foundation for their most recent donation.
